P.S.DEVSIHANSAPUR, a government-run primary school located in the rural area of JAHANAGANJ block in Azamgarh district, Uttar Pradesh, has been serving the local community since its establishment in 1963. The school caters to students from Class 1 to Class 5, offering education in Hindi as the medium of instruction.

The school is co-educational, providing equal opportunities for boys and girls. It does not have a pre-primary section, focusing solely on primary education. While the school building is government-owned and in good condition, it lacks certain key facilities that are often considered essential for a conducive learning environment.

The school boasts four classrooms, ensuring enough space for the students. However, it lacks a playground, which is crucial for physical activity and recreation during school hours. The school also doesn’t have a library, meaning students don’t have access to additional reading materials beyond their textbooks.

Despite the absence of a library, P.S.DEVSIHANSAPUR offers students access to clean drinking water through functional hand pumps. The school also prioritizes sanitation, providing separate functional toilets for boys and girls.

While the school strives to provide a safe and healthy learning environment, it lacks basic amenities such as electricity and a boundary wall. The absence of electricity hinders the implementation of modern teaching methods that rely on digital tools.

The school’s dedication to providing a quality education is evident in its qualified teaching staff. It currently employs two teachers, one male and one female, who are committed to guiding students on their educational journey. Although the school doesn’t have any computer-aided learning facilities or computers, it does offer mid-day meals prepared and provided on the school premises, ensuring that students receive proper nourishment throughout their school day.

P.S.DEVSIHANSAPUR, despite its challenges, is an integral part of the local community. It plays a vital role in providing basic education to young minds in the area, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in life.
