P.S.DAMGARA: A Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

Nestled in the rural area of GANGESHWARI block in Jyotiba Phule Nagar (AMROHA) district of Uttar Pradesh, P.S.DAMGARA is a primary school serving the local community. Established in 1995, the school is managed by the Department of Education and provides education for children from Class 1 to Class 5.

P.S.DAMGARA is a co-educational school, meaning it welcomes both boys and girls. While the school does not have a pre-primary section, it offers instruction in Hindi. The school is open to all and is accessible by all-weather roads. The academic session commences in April, aligning with the traditional academic calendar of India.

The school boasts a well-maintained infrastructure. The Government-built school building houses 6 classrooms, all in good condition. These classrooms are equipped to accommodate the learning needs of the students. The school also has 2 additional rooms for non-teaching activities, ensuring a conducive environment for student development. A separate room for the Head Master/Teacher further enhances the school’s administrative function.

P.S.DAMGARA has a strong focus on providing a clean and hygienic environment for its students. The school has a functional hand pump that provides drinking water. For sanitation, the school has separate, functional toilets for boys and girls. The school’s commitment to student well-being is evident in the provision of a midday meal, which is provided and prepared within the school premises.

While the school has a library with a collection of 75 books, it does not have a playground, which could be a missed opportunity for physical activity and social interaction. The school also lacks a computer aided learning lab, limiting access to modern educational technologies.

Despite these limitations, P.S.DAMGARA plays a crucial role in providing primary education to the children of the community. The dedicated teachers and the school’s focus on creating a safe and supportive environment contribute significantly to the educational journey of the students. The school’s efforts to provide access to basic amenities and promote a culture of learning, despite the resource constraints, make it a valuable asset to the community.
