NAVEEN GMS CHANDRAKHAL: A Rural Upper Primary School in Madhya Pradesh

Nestled in the rural landscape of Madhya Pradesh, NAVEEN GMS CHANDRAKHAL stands as a beacon of education for students in the Timarni block of Harda district. Established in 2001, the school is managed by the Department of Education and caters to students from grades 6 to 8.

The school boasts a government-owned building equipped with three well-maintained classrooms, ensuring ample space for learning. It also features two additional rooms dedicated to non-teaching activities, and a separate room for the headmaster or teacher.

NAVEEN GMS CHANDRAKHAL is a co-educational institution, providing equal opportunities for both boys and girls. The school is accessible throughout the year via an all-weather road, ensuring convenient access for students and staff alike.

The academic year begins in April, with Hindi serving as the primary language of instruction. The school embraces a holistic approach to education, providing a library with 144 books to foster a love of reading. While the school does not have a playground, it offers access to hand pumps for clean drinking water, ensuring the health and well-being of its students.

Hygiene is a priority, with functional boys and girls toilets available for students. The school’s commitment to student well-being extends to providing a midday meal, prepared and served on the school premises. This ensures that students receive nutritious meals, eliminating concerns about hunger and allowing them to focus on their studies.

The school’s infrastructure, while lacking electricity, is designed to promote learning. However, the absence of a computer lab and computers hinders the school’s ability to integrate modern technology into the curriculum. The school’s lack of a boundary wall and ramps for disabled children highlights areas for potential improvement, ensuring accessibility and safety for all students.

NAVEEN GMS CHANDRAKHAL, despite its limitations, is a testament to the dedication of the Department of Education in providing quality education to rural communities. As the school continues to serve the educational needs of the local population, it offers a valuable foundation for the future generations of Timarni.
