Mahubahali P.S.: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

Mahubahali P.S. is a government-run primary school located in the rural area of Odisha. Serving the local community since 2001, this co-educational institution caters to students from Class 1 to Class 5.

The school boasts a library with a collection of 396 books, providing students with access to knowledge beyond the classroom. While the school does not have a boundary wall or a playground, it provides access to clean drinking water through hand pumps.

The school’s infrastructure consists of two classrooms and a single girls’ toilet. Although electricity is available, it is not functional, posing a challenge for various activities.

Focusing on Education:

Mahubahali P.S. operates under the Department of Education and provides instruction in Odia. The school has a dedicated staff of three male teachers, committed to providing a quality education for all students. While the school does not offer pre-primary sections, it prepares meals for students on its premises.

The school’s academic program emphasizes primary education (grades 1-5). While it offers classes up to Class 5, it is noteworthy that it is affiliated with “Others” for Class 10 and Class 10+2 examinations. This indicates that students pursuing higher education may have to attend other institutions after completing their primary education at Mahubahali P.S.

A Vital Resource for the Community:

Mahubahali P.S. plays a vital role in the local community, offering accessible primary education for young minds. Despite its limited resources, the school provides a strong foundation for students, equipped with a library, clean water, and dedicated teachers.

The school’s dedication to education is evident in its provision of meals and its focus on offering a well-rounded learning experience. However, the lack of a functional electricity supply and a playground are obstacles that may hinder the school’s overall functionality and student experience.

While Mahubahali P.S. faces challenges, its commitment to providing education to children in a rural setting makes it an important asset to the community. The school’s dedication to improving the lives of its students and its valuable contributions to the community deserve recognition.
