KULHI PROJECT PS: A Rural Primary School in Odisha

KULHI PROJECT PS is a government-run primary school located in Odisha, India. Situated in a rural area, this school serves the local community with a focus on providing quality education to children between the ages of 6 and 11. The school is managed by the Department of Education and has been operational since 2007.

The school boasts a modest infrastructure with two classrooms, equipped with basic amenities like electricity and access to drinking water through hand pumps. While it lacks a library or playground, the school does have separate toilets for boys and girls. Notably, the school does not offer computer-aided learning or have a boundary wall.

KULHI PROJECT PS is a co-educational school that primarily serves students from Class 1 to Class 5. Currently, the school has two teachers, both of whom are female, providing instruction in Odia. The school’s head teacher is Kiran Bala Mohanty, who leads the educational process alongside the other teacher.

The school’s curriculum follows the Odia medium of instruction. It provides a meal program for students, ensuring they have access to nourishment during their time at school. While the school does not offer pre-primary education, it follows the “Others” board for Class 10 and Class 10+2, suggesting it caters to the diverse needs of the local student population.

Despite its humble origins, KULHI PROJECT PS plays a crucial role in providing educational opportunities to children in the rural community. The school’s dedicated teachers strive to provide a quality learning environment for its students, fostering their academic growth and contributing to the betterment of their lives.

The lack of certain amenities, like computer-aided learning and a library, highlights the need for further development and resource allocation for the school. Investing in these areas would not only enhance the quality of education but also contribute to the overall well-being and future prospects of the students.

As the school continues to serve the local community, its commitment to providing basic education in a rural setting is commendable. The school’s dedication to its students and its efforts to overcome its limitations make it a vital resource for the community, paving the way for a brighter future for its students.
