Nestled in the heart of Odisha, Katura Sevashram is a government-run primary school catering to students from Class 1 to Class 5. Established in 1950, the school stands as a beacon of education in the rural area, offering a crucial foundation for young minds.

Katura Sevashram boasts a modest infrastructure, equipped with five classrooms and a well-stocked library, housing an impressive 206 books. The school prioritizes the well-being of its students, providing access to clean drinking water through hand pumps and ensuring the accessibility of facilities for students with disabilities through dedicated ramps.

The school’s academic program focuses on providing a quality primary education, with instruction conducted in the Odia language. Katura Sevashram follows a co-educational model, fostering an inclusive learning environment for all students. The dedicated team of three male teachers is committed to nurturing young minds and equipping them with the necessary skills for future success.

While the school does not offer pre-primary education, it plays a vital role in shaping the future of children in the local community. Notably, Katura Sevashram provides meals to its students, prepared within the school premises, ensuring that children have access to nutritious food and can focus on their learning.

The school’s dedication to providing a holistic learning experience is further evident in its inclusion of a library, a valuable resource for expanding students’ horizons and fostering a love for reading. However, despite the efforts to provide a stimulating environment, the school currently lacks access to electricity and a playground, highlighting the need for further development.
