JR.HIGH SCHOOL PULIYA NO.9: A Look at This Upper Primary School in Jhansi

JR.HIGH SCHOOL PULIYA NO.9, located in the JHANSI NAGARCHETRA block of JHANSI district in Uttar Pradesh, is a government-run upper primary school established in 1972. Serving students from grades 6 to 8, this co-educational school provides education in Hindi. Although there’s no attached pre-primary section, the school offers a comprehensive curriculum catering to the needs of its students.

The school building, a rented structure, boasts five well-maintained classrooms for instructional purposes and two additional rooms for non-teaching activities. A separate room serves as the head teacher’s office.

While the school lacks a boundary wall, its location in an urban area offers access to a variety of amenities and resources. The school is accessible via an all-weather road, making it convenient for students to reach. Academic sessions commence in April, aligning with the traditional academic calendar.

Despite the school’s lack of a playground, students can enjoy the presence of a library stocked with 71 books. The school’s focus on academic excellence is further emphasized by its provision of a midday meal prepared on-site.

While the school does not have a computer-aided learning lab or access to computers for teaching and learning purposes, it does have a functional boys’ and girls’ toilet. The school’s commitment to providing quality education despite its limited resources is commendable.

The absence of a ramp for disabled children to access classrooms and the lack of a functional electricity connection presents challenges. These are areas that could be addressed to enhance the learning environment for all students.

Although there are no female teachers currently employed at the school, the presence of one male teacher ensures that students receive the necessary guidance and support. The school’s management, under the Department of Education, is actively working to address these issues and improve the overall learning environment.

Despite its challenges, JR.HIGH SCHOOL PULIYA NO.9 stands as a testament to the dedication of educators in providing basic education to students in rural areas. The school’s commitment to quality education and its efforts to overcome limitations make it a valuable asset to the community.
