JHS SUNDERPUR: A Rural Upper Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

JHS SUNDERPUR, a government-run upper primary school located in the RAJE PUR block of FARRUKHABAD district in Uttar Pradesh, stands as a beacon of education for students in the rural community. Established in 2005, the school caters to students in Grades 6 to 8, offering a co-educational environment with a focus on Hindi as the medium of instruction.

The school boasts a modest infrastructure with three well-maintained classrooms, dedicated space for non-teaching activities, and a separate room for the head teacher. While the school lacks a boundary wall, it does have a functional hand pump providing clean drinking water for students and staff. Furthermore, the school prioritizes hygiene with one functional boys’ toilet and one functional girls’ toilet.

JHS SUNDERPUR’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment is evident in its dedication to providing mid-day meals prepared within the school premises. This ensures that students have access to nutritious food, promoting both their academic and overall well-being.

Despite its rural location, JHS SUNDERPUR strives to provide a quality education to its students. The school has two teachers, one male and one female, dedicated to guiding students through their upper primary years.

However, the school faces some challenges in terms of its resources. The lack of a library and computers hinders the students’ access to diverse learning materials and technological advancements. Moreover, the absence of a playground limits their opportunities for physical activity and recreational development.

The school’s lack of electricity further restricts its capabilities. The absence of computer-aided learning and a computer lab limits the school’s capacity to implement modern teaching methodologies and engage students in interactive learning experiences.

Despite these limitations, JHS SUNDERPUR remains a crucial educational institution in the rural area, playing a vital role in shaping the future of young minds. With continued support and investment, the school can overcome its current challenges and provide its students with the resources they need to thrive in their academic pursuits and contribute to the growth of their community.
