JHS DEHRA: A Rural Upper Primary School in Uttar Pradesh

JHS DEHRA, a government-run upper primary school, is situated in a rural area of Uttar Pradesh. The school, established in 2009, offers education from Class 6 to Class 8, catering to students in the community. The school’s code is 9730204102, signifying its unique identification within the education system.

JHS DEHRA has four classrooms and is equipped with basic amenities such as separate toilets for boys and girls. However, it lacks advanced infrastructure like computers, electricity, and a boundary wall. While the school does not have a library or playground, it provides access to drinking water through hand pumps.

The school’s academic focus is on upper primary education, with Hindi as the primary medium of instruction. One male teacher caters to the students’ needs, making the total number of teachers at the school one. The school operates as a co-educational institution, welcoming both boys and girls.

JHS DEHRA operates under the Department of Education, emphasizing a focus on providing quality education within the government framework. The school provides meals for its students, ensuring their nutritional needs are met during their school hours.

Importantly, the school is not a residential establishment, meaning students are not provided with accommodation. It follows the Non-Ashram type (Govt.) residential model, meaning that students are expected to reside at home and commute to school.

JHS DEHRA, despite its limited resources, plays a crucial role in providing education to the rural community. Its dedicated staff and focus on providing basic necessities demonstrate a commitment to fostering learning and development in the area.

The school’s absence of computer-aided learning, electricity, and other modern infrastructure highlights the need for further development and investment in rural education. This would enhance the learning experience and provide students with access to technology and improved learning environments.

Despite these challenges, JHS DEHRA continues to serve its community, offering essential educational opportunities to students in the rural area. Its dedication to education, coupled with the commitment of its staff, represents a beacon of hope for the future of learning in the region.
