The school boasts four classrooms and basic amenities like toilets for both boys and girls. While it lacks computer-aided learning facilities and electricity, Giriswar HS makes up for it with a well-stocked library containing over 590 books. The school, though lacking a playground, offers its students a ‘pucca’ (concrete) wall for their safety and a sense of security.

Giriswar HS provides an upper primary and secondary education, focusing on a curriculum delivered primarily in Odia. The school is managed by the Department of Education and currently employs five dedicated teachers: four male teachers and one female teacher. The school also offers meals to its students, prepared on-site.

The school’s commitment to its students is evident in its diverse offerings. It provides an education from Class 8 to Class 10, preparing students for various academic paths. While the school does not offer pre-primary education, it focuses on providing a quality learning experience for its existing students.
