GULPS GILALAGUNDI is a government-run primary school located in the rural area of Karnataka, India. Situated in the Gilalagundi village, the school falls under the jurisdiction of the Department of Education and serves students from Class 1 to Class 5.

Established in 1953, the school boasts two classrooms, a library, and essential facilities like boys’ and girls’ toilets. While under construction, the school walls offer a glimpse into ongoing improvements. The school also enjoys access to electricity, further enhancing its educational environment.

The school’s curriculum focuses on providing primary education in the Urdu language, with a total of one teacher catering to the needs of the students. The staff includes one female teacher, demonstrating the school’s commitment to inclusivity. Notably, the school offers a meal program, ensuring students receive proper nutrition while attending classes.

Despite the lack of a playground and computer-aided learning facilities, the school boasts a library housing a collection of 50 books. This resource provides students with access to supplementary reading materials and fosters a love for literature. However, the absence of drinking water and ramps for disabled individuals presents challenges for the school community.

The school’s academic focus on primary education aligns with its designation as a “Primary only (1-5)” institution. While not offering pre-primary sections or higher secondary classes, the school plays a crucial role in providing foundational education to the children of the Gilalagundi village.

GULPS GILALAGUNDI stands as a testament to the government’s efforts to provide primary education to rural communities. Despite its limited resources, the school strives to provide a conducive learning environment for its students. As the school continues to develop, it holds the potential to further enhance its educational offerings and contribute to the overall development of the region.
