Established in 1960, the school is managed by the Department of Education and offers a co-educational environment.

The school boasts a strong infrastructure with two classrooms in good condition, ensuring sufficient space for learning. While it does not have a pre-primary section, it does have two additional rooms dedicated to non-teaching activities and a separate room for the headmaster/teacher. The school is also equipped with a functional library, housing a collection of 529 books for students to explore.

One of the key features of GLPS Chatre Kere (C.K) Palya is its commitment to providing a safe and comfortable learning environment.
