GLPS - KALLESHWARA EXTN: A Rural Primary School in Karnataka

GLPS - KALLESHWARA EXTN, located in the rural area of Karnataka, is a government-run primary school catering to students from Class 1 to Class 5. The school, established in 1999, offers co-educational learning with a focus on Kannada as the primary language of instruction.

The school boasts a well-equipped library with a collection of 271 books, providing students with access to knowledge beyond the classroom. However, the school currently lacks a playground, which limits opportunities for physical activity and outdoor learning.

A dedicated team of three female teachers provides instruction to the students, alongside two pre-primary teachers who cater to the younger learners. The school provides meals to its students, prepared on-site, ensuring nutritional support for their learning journey.

While the school features three classrooms to accommodate its students, it lacks a boundary wall. The school’s electricity supply is currently non-functional, requiring immediate attention to ensure a conducive learning environment.

Though the school offers pre-primary classes and has a dedicated staff, it lacks ramps for students with disabilities. This accessibility concern requires immediate attention to ensure inclusivity and equal access to education for all children.

The school’s academic program follows the “Others” board for Class 10 and 10+2, indicating the flexibility and adaptability of its curriculum to meet the needs of its students.

GLPS - KALLESHWARA EXTN stands as a pillar of education in the rural community, offering a valuable service to the children of the area. The school’s dedication to providing quality education is evident in its well-stocked library and the commitment of its teachers. However, the lack of a playground, electricity, and accessible infrastructure for students with disabilities necessitates immediate improvements to create a truly inclusive and enriching learning environment for all.

By addressing these challenges, GLPS - KALLESHWARA EXTN can solidify its position as a vital resource for the community, fostering the development of young minds and empowering them to reach their full potential.
