GHPS KALLIKOPPA: A Rural Primary School with a Focus on Education

Nestled in the rural landscape of Karnataka, GHPS KALLIKOPPA stands as a beacon of education, serving the community with its comprehensive primary and upper primary curriculum. Established in 1963, this government-run school boasts a dedicated team of 5 teachers, including 3 male teachers and 2 female teachers, led by Head Teacher PRAKASH B C. The school is committed to providing quality education to students from Class 1 to Class 7, with a focus on Kannada as the primary language of instruction.

GHPS KALLIKOPPA offers a conducive learning environment with 6 well-equipped classrooms. The school prioritizes the well-being of its students by providing access to clean drinking water through tap water facilities and ensuring the safety and accessibility of all with ramps for disabled individuals.

Beyond the basic infrastructure, GHPS KALLIKOPPA fosters a love for learning with a dedicated library housing an impressive 1996 books. However, the school lacks a playground, potentially limiting recreational opportunities for students.

While the school does not offer pre-primary education, it provides a nourishing meal program for its students, prepared and served within the school premises. The school also embraces the use of technology, with access to electricity and computer-aided learning resources.

Although the school currently does not offer classes beyond Class 7, it is affiliated with the ‘Others’ board for Class 10. This suggests that students can pursue their education beyond the primary level within the local community or at other institutions.

GHPS KALLIKOPPA’s dedication to providing quality education in a nurturing environment is evident in its commitment to providing clean water, accessible facilities, and a well-stocked library. This rural school stands as a testament to the power of education and its ability to uplift communities, one student at a time.

The school’s emphasis on Kannada as the medium of instruction further contributes to the preservation of language and culture within the local community. GHPS KALLIKOPPA’s efforts to educate and empower future generations serve as an inspiring example of the dedication and commitment of educators in rural India.
