EZRA ACADENY SEC SCHOOL: A Private Secondary School in Meghalaya

EZRA ACADENY SEC SCHOOL, established in 1998, is a private, co-educational secondary school located in the rural area of JIRANG block, RI BHOI district, Meghalaya. This school offers education from grades 9 to 10, focusing on a comprehensive curriculum delivered in English, the school’s primary medium of instruction.

The school boasts a strong commitment to providing a holistic learning environment. Its infrastructure includes a well-maintained building, a spacious playground, and a well-equipped library with a collection of 5 books. Despite its rural location, the school ensures a conducive learning environment with a dedicated head teacher and a team of 8 teachers, including 4 male and 4 female educators. The school also has a dedicated space for the head teacher, ensuring effective administration and guidance for students.

EZRA ACADENY SEC SCHOOL is a haven of learning where students are nurtured not only academically but also through extracurricular activities. The school has implemented a robust safety and hygiene system, with separate functional toilets for boys and girls, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for students. The school also provides a mid-day meal prepared on-site, guaranteeing healthy nutrition for its students.

While the school doesn’t have a computer-aided learning lab, it does have 2 functional computers available for students and teachers. This limited access to computer technology highlights the school’s ongoing need for digital resources to enhance the learning experience for its students.

The school’s commitment to inclusivity is reflected in its playground and its dedicated head teacher. However, the lack of ramps for disabled students necessitates a more inclusive approach to physical accessibility within the school. The absence of a boundary wall might also pose safety concerns for students, especially during outdoor activities.

EZRA ACADENY SEC SCHOOL’s absence of electric connection underscores the challenges faced by schools in rural areas. The reliance on tap water for drinking water, though functional, raises concerns about its sustainability and the need for alternative sources.

Despite these challenges, EZRA ACADENY SEC SCHOOL plays a crucial role in providing quality education to students in the rural community. The school’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education, with a focus on English instruction and extracurricular activities, is commendable. However, there is room for improvement in areas such as digital literacy, physical accessibility, and infrastructure.

With dedicated teachers and a proactive management team, EZRA ACADENY SEC SCHOOL continues to strive for excellence in delivering quality education to its students. Its commitment to providing a safe, hygienic, and enriching learning environment makes it a valuable educational institution for the community.
