Nestled within the village of DEKAPODAR, the DEKAPODAR PS is a government-run primary school located in Odisha, India. This school, established in 1975, provides education to students from Class 1 to Class 7 and offers a primary curriculum with upper primary education up to Class 8. The school serves a rural community and is co-educational, welcoming both boys and girls.

The DEKAPODAR PS stands as a testament to the commitment to providing quality education in remote areas. While it is not equipped with modern amenities such as computer-aided learning or electricity, the school boasts a library with 8 books, offering students access to knowledge and fostering a love for reading. The school also provides meals prepared on-site, ensuring students receive a nourishing lunch during their studies.

The school’s academic program emphasizes Odia as the primary medium of instruction, reflecting the local language and culture. The dedicated teaching staff, comprising two male teachers and one female teacher, strive to impart knowledge and guide students towards academic excellence. Although the school does not have a pre-primary section, it offers a well-maintained environment for learning.

One notable aspect of DEKAPODAR PS is its lack of a boundary wall, highlighting the openness and accessibility of the school within the community. The absence of a playground, however, could potentially limit opportunities for physical activity and recreation for students.

Despite the challenges presented by its rural setting and limited resources, DEKAPODAR PS continues to serve as a vital hub for education in the village. Its commitment to providing a quality learning environment and its dedicated staff play a crucial role in shaping the future of the students entrusted to its care.

The school’s academic program is designed to meet the educational needs of the local community. Students are prepared for examinations under the “Others” board for Class 10 and, if they choose to continue their education, for the “Others” board for Class 10+2.

DEKAPODAR PS stands as a testament to the resilience and dedication of rural schools in India. While facing challenges, the school remains a beacon of hope and knowledge, empowering young minds and shaping the future of the community.
