ANMPS KOLLADAM: A Rural Primary School in Andhra Pradesh

Located in the Kollmadam village of Andhra Pradesh, ANMPS KOLLADAM is a primary school catering to students from Class 1 to Class 5. Established in 1912, the school operates under the Pvt. Aided management category, serving the educational needs of the local rural community.

Focusing on Primary Education:

ANMPS KOLLADAM is a primary-only school, offering education from the first grade to the fifth grade. The school’s instruction medium is Telugu, ensuring that students receive their education in their native language. While the school is co-educational, it does not offer pre-primary education.

A Rural School with Limited Resources:

Despite its long history, ANMPS KOLLADAM faces certain challenges. The school does not have access to electricity or computer-aided learning facilities. Furthermore, the school lacks a reliable source of drinking water, highlighting the need for improved infrastructure in the rural setting.

Beyond the Classroom:

The school’s curriculum is primarily focused on the basics of education, and the school participates in the Others board for Class 10. It’s important to note that the school has not been shifted to a new location and is considered a non-residential school.

A Community Hub:

ANMPS KOLLADAM plays a vital role in the rural community by providing basic education to children in the area. The school’s efforts to educate students in Telugu, combined with its focus on primary education, contribute to the overall development of the community.

The Need for Support:

While ANMPS KOLLADAM provides valuable educational services to the rural community, it faces challenges due to the lack of essential resources. The absence of electricity, drinking water, and computer-aided learning facilities hampers the school’s ability to provide a comprehensive and modern learning environment.

Moving Forward:

Investing in infrastructure improvements, particularly in electricity, drinking water, and computer-aided learning facilities, would significantly benefit ANMPS KOLLADAM and empower it to offer a better educational experience for its students. By addressing these issues, the school can contribute even more effectively to the development of the Kollmadam village and its surrounding communities.
