ANCHALIKA UP(ME) SCL: A Rural Upper Primary School in Odisha

ANCHALIKA UP(ME) SCL is a private, upper primary school located in a rural area of Odisha. It caters to students from class 6 to class 7, offering education in the Odia language. The school was established in 1988 and operates as a co-educational institution with a single male teacher.

Despite its rural location, the school boasts a library stocked with 145 books, providing valuable resources for students. Although it lacks computer-aided learning facilities and electricity, the school prioritizes providing a conducive learning environment. The school building features two classrooms equipped with a single boys’ toilet and a single girls’ toilet.

ANCHALIKA UP(ME) SCL follows a curriculum that prepares students for the Others board for Class 10. The school emphasizes student well-being by providing meals, which are prepared and served within the school premises. The school also prioritizes the safety of its students, ensuring that they have access to hand pumps for drinking water.

The school’s management structure is a Pvt. Aided model, indicating a combination of private and government funding. However, the school lacks ramps for individuals with disabilities, suggesting a need for further investment in accessibility.

Furthermore, the school does not have a boundary wall, highlighting the importance of strengthening security measures for both students and staff. While the school offers a playground, it does not have pre-primary facilities.

ANCHALIKA UP(ME) SCL, despite its challenges, plays a crucial role in providing quality education to children in a rural setting. The school’s commitment to offering meals and maintaining a library demonstrates its dedication to its students’ holistic development.

The lack of certain amenities, such as electricity and computer-aided learning, presents opportunities for further improvement. Addressing accessibility issues for individuals with disabilities is another area where the school can focus its efforts.

By addressing these challenges, ANCHALIKA UP(ME) SCL can further enhance its educational offerings and contribute to the educational landscape of Odisha.
